Every year at Woodlawn Memorial Park, we remember children everywhere with our Angel Tree tradition.
In Block P where the children’s area is located, you’ll find a young evergreen tree. The tree is placed there to remember children as they hold a special place in our heart especially this time of year. Whether they are still with us or with us in memory, this tree represents all children.
Each year, we encourage you to add your own ornament to the Christmas Angel Tree to represent your love for a child.
The Angel Tree remains in the children’s section of Woodlawn until spring, when the tree is then planted in the cemetery becoming a permanent part of our parks beautiful tree canopy.
We thank Cam Skipper and the staff at Gilchrist Chapel, who donate the tree every year and help to support this special tradition.
